An exiting, and very interesting book Called,

The setting of Legend is that of a dystopia. It’s futuristic and strange yet things like the military and government are familiar to life. Though the military and government we see in this book is familiar but not the same to ours. The world we see is driven by war like if our military and government were very extremist.
There are only two very contrasted classes in this world. The very richest, and the very poorest. There's not any in between, so most people in this world can’t afford to live. The book looks at the differences between these two main characters a lot. Actually the book makes an effort to describe various differences between a lot of things. For example on page 16 there is a passage that describes how smart they are "But she’s wrong. I don’t just think I’m smart. I’m the only person in the entire Republic with a perfect 1500 score on her Trial. I was assigned here, to the country’s top university, at twelve, four years ahead of schedule. Then I skipped my sophomore year. I’ve earned perfect grades at Drake for three years." And Day is also smart, but Day is really good at physical activity. For example in this passage a character describes his physical ability, "Rumor has it that Day once scaled five stories in less than eight seconds." This passage is from the same page actually. His Physical ability is described a lot more in chapter 8.
One of the main characters, Day, is an intelligent thief so everyone is always trying to stop him. He steals to help his family, and his mother who has succumbed to the plague, and is facing near death. This book also shares perspectives with a character named June who is a wealthy, and highly intelligent government operative who comes in contact with Day in her mission to stop him.
The book is often very drastic. Like the famous first sentence in this book on page one. “My mother thinks I’m dead.” It’s famous for how very dramatic this first sentence is because usually first sentences are a lot less serious than that. It’s mainly meant to keep the reader interested so they buy the book, and that’s exactly what it did to me the first time I picked up this book. Well I was interested, but I never owned a copy of the book which is also why I never finished it. I’ve only ever read to chapter 10.
The dramatic nature of the book is very refreshing and I recommend reading it. I also really like the book because of the way the characters' thoughts are written. Both of the characters are really smart so they often notice a lot of things about their surroundings in a way that if you were to draw the scenes you could. The book is very exciting so I think I’ll want to finish it, and get a copy of it myself.
In chapter 10 June creates a plan to find Day since he accidentally killed her older brother. This is really just another example of how dramatic the book is because revenge is usually a really emotional thing. I think most people would want revenge if they were in that situation though . Again it’s overall very skilled writing so maybe you should read it if you have the time.

As someone who read this book in in 7th grade, I feel like this blog post does a nice job explaining a few significant events without spoiling too much, and is overall a good analysis. Next time, maybe tell us more than you summarize as you are basically reading the book to us here. Great blog post, satisfying read.
